The Memphis Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) Network is partnering with the Black Clergy Collaborative to host a seminar on “Identifying and Protecting from Predatory Lending Debt Traps” on August 29, 2023, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. CST at Rhodes College, Briggs Hall, Spence Wilson Room, 2000 North Parkway, Memphis, Tennessee. The goal of the seminar is to educate consumers, small business owners, and their advisors, including faith leaders, veterans, seniors, students, domestic violence counselors, case and financial managers, and financial institutions, about predatory lending debt traps and raise awareness of alternatives to payday lending in Memphis.
